Jim Carrey Has It Right?

If money and fame is not the answer, then what is?

Relationships? People will let you down.

Entertainment? That gets old.

Drugs? Alcohol? Drugs and Alcohol are sometimes entertaining for a season. But they blind you and ease you into a place that you never wanted to be. A place you never thought you'd end up.

Education? You worked so hard to earn a degree that you thought would bring you fulfillment, but often times only leaves you wanting more.

Children? Marriage? What will happen when your babies grow up and want to start a life of their own? Where will that leave you? What happens when the reality of a spouse sets in and you realize Cinderella was but a fairy tail?

This I call to mind
    and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
    therefore I will wait for him.”
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
    to the one who seeks him;
(Lamentations 3:21-25)

The answer is Christ. In Christ is where you will find hope, compassion, fullness of life. He is The Way, He is The Truth, He is The Life (John 14:6). Take Him as He is. He is waiting.
