The goal of Ponte Trucha is to share the love of Christ and the good news of salvation to the gente in the barrios, the calles, to the lowriders and callajeros. We intend to leave an eternal mark on this world, one calle at a time.
Our Calling...
To Obey the Word of the Lord
"And each went straight forward; wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went." (Ezekiel 1:12)
Our desire is to go where the Holy Spirit leads. To be obedient to God and God alone. To fix our eyes on Him and Him alone. Our one focus, our one desire, is to do God's will. Not to look at what is going on around us, but to fix our gaze intently on the Lord. As the old hymn declares, "Though no one go with us, still we will follow." The voice of man, no longer carries any weight in our lives.
To Pray Without Ceasing
"Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-19)
Ponte Trucha was birthed in prayer. It is dependent on prayer. No matter, in times of plenty or in want, our desire is to be a people bathed in prayer. We want to remain faithful to prayer, to be constant in prayer, and to be fervent in prayer, most especially in times of great blessing. The downfall of any ministry begins the moment one's dependence on God shifts to dependence on self.

To Be Humble Servants
"Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross." (Philippians 2: 5-8)
We want to remain the least of all servants. We do not want to know or to be known. We want to remain nobodies apart from the cross of Christ. Our desire is to remember that we were once useless vessels, and apart from Christ, we are still the same useless people we once were. Our greatest desire is to remain humble servants of God. We are completely content with you never remembering our names or who we are. Our desire is for you to see Christ and Christ alone through us. We are mere servants who desire to be clothed in humility. We take no credit for the tremendous things God has done and continues to do.
